This week rewarded with Homes & Gardens Designer Awards, and their new category Designer Collaboration for 2012 was well worth celebrating. Moves like McGregor

What do you get when you mix The Royal Ballet’s resident choreographer Wayne McGregor, with outlandish fashion designer Gareth Pugh and DJ/producer Mark Ronson? A ballet with moves from McGregor, Pugh’s dark style costumes, a musical score of nine songs co-written by Ronson and Andrew Wyatt from Miike Snow, a live band with vocalists from Ronson’s famed collaboration list – Alison Mosshart of The Kills, Jonathan Pierce from The Drums and DC rapper Wale – and music arrangements by Rufus Wainwright.

Pop shop

The artistic design duo Pernilla Ohrstedt and Asif Khan – aka Pernilla & Asif – are world renowned for their whimsical projects. So much so chic Parisian store Colette put a version of their dreamy cloud installation into its Christmas window and Singapore Park hosted a construction of two rope cones filled with melting ice blocks and flowing sand. But it’s in the heart of Hackney, the host of this summers Olympic Games, where the trained architects are currently working on their biggest artistic design yet.
